The director of the Brazilian Guarantees Agency (ABGF) Guilherme Estrada visited aerospace and defense complexes in São José dos Campos (SP) on Wednesday (4). In the meetings, Estrada had the opportunity to learn more about the business model of the companies, and to gather suggestions and proposals to improve ABGF’s performance in the offer of Export Credit Insurance.

“There is a clear orientation of the government to provide the necessary support for the exportations of the Brazilian industry and even more taking into account the technological and innovational capacity that can be verified in the highly developed industrial complex of São José dos Campos,” said the ABGF official.

In the morning, Estrada visited the Avibras facilities, a defense engineering company with more than 50 years of experience in the manufacture of civil and military aircraft and vehicles.

In the afternoon, the CEO of ABGF was at Embraer, a Brazilian aerospace company with products focused on commercial, executive, defense and security and agricultural aviation. At the end of the day, Estrada participated in the ceremony for the delivery of the first E190-E2 aircraft, manufactured by Embraer, to the Norwegian airline Widerø. The E190-E2 is the first airplane of the new generation of E-Jets, composed of three aircraft of 80 to 146 seats, to be introduced until 2021.
