The Brazilian Minister of Planning, Development and Management, Dyogo Oliveira, appointed Guilherme Estrada Rodrigues as the Chief Executive Office (CEO) of the Brazilian Guarantees Agency (ABGF) in place of Marcelo Pinheiro Franco who was the head of ABGF since August 27, 2013.

Guilherme Estrada Rodrigues is a federal attorney. He has hold various positions in the Federal Public Administration, including those of assistant executive secretary and special adviser to the Minister of Planning, Development and Management. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of IRB Brasil RE and the Caixa Seguridade.

Once the ABGF structure has been implemented and consolidated, it will be up to the new management to intensify the process of approaching the company with the market, becoming a facilitator for investments in the country’s infrastructure, including through the design of instruments that give investors greater security external.

ABGF will continue to support national exports of goods and services and agricultural operations, further covering the risks of extreme weather events.
