Credit Insurance 26 de October de 2017

On Tuesday (17), in São Paulo,  the ABGF CEO Marcelo Franco participated in a panel discussion at the II International Meeting on Financing Defense Projects to debate the need for innovative solutions in the promotion of export credit in the sector. Franco said that ABGF has responded quickly to claims by guaranteeing speed in the processes of analysis and that the answers usually occur in less than 30 days. “ABGF has also given priority to the micro, small and medium enterprises sector as well as other companies in the defense and security sector,” said.

He also stressed the importance of the dissemination of the export credit insurance as an official instrument to support the export segment and stated that access to consultations, price simulations of the coverage and the sending of proposals to cover the export credit insurance can be carried out directly on the ABGF website.

“We are still examining new coverage to make the sector more competitive in the international market”, he said, noting the support in this work from the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Finance’s International Affairs Secretariat (Sain/MF) under the coordination of Chamber of Foreign Trade (Camex), in partnership with industry entities and the financial sector.

The event, sponsored by the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), was opened by Defense Minister Raul Jungmann. About thirty speakers shared experiences from the UK, Sweden, Norway, Portugal and Brazil.
